THE NEW HANK WILLIAMS BOX SET

Although not, strictly speaking, the "complete Hank Williams" as the title might suggest this is certainly the most comprehensive package yet devoted to this country music genius.  It includes all existing session masters and all available non-session and demo masters recorded by Hank Williams plus a selection of the best live performances of his most well known songs and live performances of songs not available elsewhere.

It does not include every version available of every song (unless the versions are significantly different) or recordings that were in particularly bad condition. There are also a number of recordings that are in legal contention and so could not be included.

From the earliest known recording dated 1939 when Hank was just 17 years old, to his last MGM session on September 23, 1952 -- three months before his death at the age of 29, all existing and available recordings are included. 

Each set is in a 6" x 12" x 1 1/2" "Book-box" fronted with an unpublished photo, covered with charcoal linen. The set includes several booklets with details on Hank's life, music and death. There are more than 140 photos, many never before published and 8 full color postcards with previously unpublished pictures. There is extensive discographical information, session worksheets, tour posters, lists of artists who have recorded Hank's songs and much more.
