19 tracks, 70 min., recommended. Recorded live at Club
Imperial and Harlem Club, St. Louis, Missouri, the first 10 songs are a
reissue of Kent KLMP 5014 with the addition of If I Can't Be First,
and stand as proof of how good the Revue was. Tina doesn't even sing much;
but Jimmy Thomas fills in nicely on Feel So Good, as nicely as
Venetta Fields does on The Love Of My Man. But neither can match
Stacy Johnson's version of Drown In My Own Tears. Another live
show, presumably from '67, has been added, and this time it's all Ike
& Tina...or is that Tina & Ike? Better than the movie. (JC)
