issued as a limited edition by the group themselves in 2000 plus five
bonus unissued tracks. When you see the cover pic of these 4 old guys
& put on the CD with the sound of young guys from the 50s, you know
you're in for the real thing! These legends were lead singers from the
best of the New York doo-wop groups - Jimmy Gallagher of The Passions
(with a beautiful lead falsetto - high tenor), Tony Passalacqua of The
Fascinators & Frank Mancuso of The Imaginations, along with basser
Steve Horn from The 5 Sharks. The repertoire is from the songbook of the
lead singer's groups, with the one ringer being Dear Lord from the

| 28 tracks from this West Coast group recorded between 1960
and 1969. The groups personnell changed over the years and they changed
the groups name too so that in additional to songs released as by The
Untouchables it also includes sides as by The Alley Cats, Happy Tones,
Del-Mars, Surgeons and others! The group performed in a variety of style
including straight doo-wop, Drifters style R&B with strings, Olympics
style novelty songs, a bit of soul and a bit of pop. Sound quality on some
tracks is pretty muffled. |

the series devoted to the recordings of New York saxist/ bandleader Paul
Williams is a dynamic collection of 27 hot blues and rocking R&B -
vocals and instrumentals. It includes vocals by Connie Allen, Larry Dale,
Jimmy Earl Brown, Little Willie John, Bobby Parker and Ethel Drew. Sidemen
include some of New York's finest including Bobby Parker (who also
vocalizes and is a brilliant and underrated guitarist), Noble Watts,
Mickey Baker, Larry Dale, Belton Evans and others. Excellent sound, brief
